HOT Wallet Mission Mining in 2026: How Much Does the NEAR-Native Multichain Wallet Actually Pay?
“Is HOT the next Notcoin?” That question kept resurfacing through Q1 2026. HOT Wallet is the Hot Protocol team’s multichain smart wallet plus Telegram mission-mining app built on NEAR. It launched in late 2024, completed its HOT TGE in Q3 2025, and entered a new Missions season through Q1 and Q2 2026. Unlike Notcoin, HOT tied the token tightly to the wallet’s real onchain functionality. So the question is not “can I claim it” but “given your current time investment, how much can you actually take home”.

What HOT is, scoped clearly
HOT (Hot Protocol) is the most complete “wallet plus bridge plus mission” stack in the NEAR ecosystem:
- HOT Wallet. Telegram Mini App plus standalone mobile app, supporting NEAR, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Solana, and TON.
- HOT Bridge. A bridge built on NEAR Chain Signatures, eliminating the wrapped-asset model and moving assets in native form.
- HOT Missions. Weekly refreshed task lists that pay out HOT tokens.
- HOT token. TGE in September 2025, dual issuance on NEAR and Solana, FDV held in the $100-200M range as of May 2026.
The key point is that HOT did not dump most of the supply at TGE the way Notcoin did. HOT’s emission is multi-round and continuous, tied to real usage, which means entering today still leaves meaningful room, but per-hour return has dropped.
Real return math from a Missions account
A real account from April-May 2026, roughly 30 minutes per week:
| Week | Missions completed | HOT claimed | USD (@$0.005) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 12 | 1,820 | 9.10 |
| 2 | 14 | 2,210 | 11.05 |
| 3 | 10 | 1,450 | 7.25 |
| 4 | 15 | 2,380 | 11.90 |
| 5 (bridging mission week) | 9 | 4,150 | 20.75 |
Five-week total: 12,010 HOT, about $60, effective hourly rate around $24. That cannot compare to early Notcoin in 2024, but it beats almost any other onchain task program and requires no upfront capital.
Why HOT outlasts Notcoin
Notcoin was the headline project of early 2024 through May 2024, but it was structurally a one-shot airdrop catalyst, and the mission system died right after TGE. HOT is designed differently:
- HOT token revenue is tied to HOT Bridge fees, a small share of every bridged transaction flows to HOT holders.
- Mission lineup refreshes weekly, 8-15 tasks per week, most requiring real use of one chain inside HOT Wallet.
- Emission is 5-year linear rather than fully unlocked at TGE, the participation window is far longer than Notcoin.
If you start today, the remaining claim space is mathematically still reasonable, the per-hour return just will not match the early days.
Task structure and priority
The current (May 2026) Missions break into five categories:
- Check-in. Tap once a day, almost no one skips it, but lowest single-task reward (20-50 HOT).
- Bridge. Use HOT Bridge between two chains, highest reward (800-2000 HOT per bridge), but real gas cost.
- DApp interactions. Open a partner DApp in HOT Wallet and complete specified actions (often NEAR DEXs or small Solana projects).
- Social. Follow partner Twitters, join Telegrams, retweet. Lower rewards, considered filler.
- Holdings. Hold a specified amount of USDT / NEAR / ETH for a week or more, an underrated high-weight bucket.
My priority: Bridge > Holdings > DApp > Check-in > Social. Spend time on the first three, do the rest only as filler.
HOT Bridge’s hidden value
HOT Bridge is the most underrated piece of the stack. Characteristics:
- Based on NEAR Chain Signatures, no lock-and-mint, assets stay native.
- Cheaper than LayerZero or Across, large bridges (>$5,000) save real money.
- Every bridge auto-counts Missions points, meaning the bridge itself is the mine.
If you bridge anyway, swapping LayerZero for HOT Bridge is the most obvious small optimization of H1 2026. For bridge safety read /en/tutorial/crosschain-bridge-guide.html and /en/tutorial/wormhole-vs-layerzero-comparison.html.
Stay away from
- Third-party HOT mission automation scripts. The Telegram Mini App anti-cheat upgraded in late 2025, automated accounts were mass-banned, and most scripts ship with private-key stealing backdoors.
- “HOT mining groups” on Telegram, anyone telling you to DM an admin to “accelerate mining” is 100% a scam.
- Batch alt accounts. HOT’s Telegram-device-IP triple fingerprint is strict, more than five alts almost guarantees a full zero.
- OTC purchase of “HOT pre-claim receipts”. Every historical instance of such derivatives went to zero.
HOT versus other wallet-side drops
There are at least 5-6 wallet-tier projects running similar mining loops in Q2 2026. HOT’s spot among them:
| Project | Chain | Per-task return | Sustainability | My grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HOT Wallet | NEAR + multi | Medium-high | High | A |
| Phantom Quest | Solana | Medium | Medium | B+ |
| Rabby Earn | EVM | Medium-low | High | B |
| OKX Web3 tasks | Multi | Low | High | B- |
| Bitget Wallet | Multi | Low | Medium | C+ |
On the combined axis of per-hour return and sustainability, HOT is currently one of the best.
Minimal checklist for 15 minutes per week
For readers with the smallest time budget:
- Daily HOT Wallet check-in, under 2 minutes.
- 3-5 bridge or holdings missions per week, no need to do every task.
- Keep $200-500 equivalent in HOT Wallet, that is the threshold for the holdings tasks.
- Skip the small DApp interaction missions, worst per-hour return.
- Settle every six months, move accumulated HOT to a major exchange and sell once.
At this pace, expected six-month total is $50-150, which is reasonable as a low-cost, low-risk daily side stream.
For a comparison of wallet apps, read /en/tutorial/rabby-vs-metamask-comparison.html, and to understand NEAR’s positioning, /en/tutorial/notable-layer1-besides-eth-solana-2026.html has the broader context.
Treat it as a stable low-yield mine, not a moonshot
HOT will not change anyone’s life through mission mining, that has to be acknowledged first. But it is one of the most expected-value-stable onchain task programs available at small time investment. It is not Notcoin’s path: Notcoin was a single firework, HOT is slow infiltration. The best way to play it is to embed it inside cross-chain actions you would do anyway, scooping rewards as a side effect rather than carving out time for tasks.
