Terabyte Triangle Welcomes MediaJoe
MediaJoe is the newest tenant in the Fernwell Building and is setting up shop in Suite 100. MediaJoe is Joe Melton, and the business will do Computer Networks, Phone Systems, Media Conferencing, and Consulting and Design.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
In order for Information Technology professional to keep abreast of the rapidly changing field, five special interest groups (SIGs) have formed. These SIGs include the Java Users Group (JUG), the Web Developers SIG, Association for Computing Machines (ACM), the Cyber Security SIG, and the Linux Users Group.

Except for the Linux Users Group, the SIGís all meet at SIRTI. Linux Users meet over pizza and beer at Rocky Rococo. All are evening meetings, often from 4:30 to 6:00, and most meet once a month.

Technet to Hold Last Technology Breakfast and Educational Workshop of the Year
Come join other technology professionals on October 3rd, at Cafe Americana, for Technetís final breakfast and technology workshop of the year. The breakfast, which features guest speaker John Charters of Northwestern Communications Group, begins at 7 a.m. and the workshop on wireless technologies and security is from 9:30 - 11:00. Admission to the breakfast is free to 2002 Technet members, $20 for non-members, and $5 for students. The workshop is free to all. Technet and SIRTI Hold Boot Camp #2: Business Plans
The dust hasnít even settled and itís on to Boot Camp #2. Boot Camp 2 will be held Saturday, October 5th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. in the SIRTI Boardroom. This second Boot Camp focuses on companies with a business plan that need assistance in getting the plan to a stage where investor groups can assess the business potential and viability. Attendees of this Boot Camp will directly receive useful feedback on their business plans and how to improve them. Professionals from the business community and students from Gonzaga Universityís Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership Program will be reviewing the business plans.

Participation is open to all companies or individuals that meet qualifying criteria, but the Boot Camp is limited to six companies. A copy of the Executive Summary needs to be sent to hanka@sirti.org by Monday, September 23. Cost of the Boot Camp is $100.

Marketing Associates of Spokane October Meeting
Spokane County Commissioner John Roskelly will present at the October program and luncheon meeting of Marketing Associates of Spokane (MAS). His talk will be: ďHow to Prepare a Proposal That Shines.Ē The discussion will include the traits of successful proposals, including the importance of content versus appearance.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, October 10 at noon at the WestCoast River Inn, 700 North Division Street in Spokane. The cost is $15 for MAS members and $25 for non-members.
