Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership Program Receives Grant

Gonzaga University's Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership Program has received a one-year grant of $27,500 from the Herbert B. Jones Foundation. The grant will be used to fund a program coordinator to assist with various Hogan Program initiatives.

The Program Coordinator will establish and maintain internship opportunities and mentor relationships between entrepreneurial organizations and students. In addition, the coordinator will assist with the development and supervision of a student-run New Venture Lab that provides services to entrepreneurs and early stage companies. SIRTI Announces New Website

SIRTI has a brand new website. The new website lists resources for technology entrepreneurs, including information about SIRTIís commercialization and incubator services. The new website also lists some of SIRTIís former and current clients and the SIRTI staff. See the new website at

Procurement and Selling to the Government

SBA has a free Procurement Marketing Network that contracting agents use to find small businesses to use as sub-contractors. There are over 600,000 companies listed in this nationwide network, according to Coralie Myers at the Business Information Center (BIC) in the SRBC.

Businesses in HUBZones may get special consideration by contracting agents. HUBZones stands for Historically Underutilized Business Zones, and there are 13 census tracts in Spokane County as well as many in the surrounding area that qualify. If the business and a percentage of their employees are located in a HUBZone, there can be bidding preferences. Contracting officers have goals in that area. Terabyte Triangle Website Adds Buildings
