WSU Spokane presents the DOE Regional Science Bowl
High School math and science students are invited to compete in the first U.S. Department of Energy Regional Science Bowl planned in northeastern Washington on Saturday, March 9, at Washington State University in Spokane. The Science Bowl is a fast paced Jeopardy!-style competition. Spectators are welcome at the final round starting at 4 p.m. in the auditorium of the Phase I Classroom Building, 668 N. Riverpoint Blvd. Awards for the top four teams and "all star" competitors will be presented at 5 p.m. The winning team will compete with winners of 64 regional contests in the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. in May.

Science Bowl is an academic competition among teams of students who answer questions from several academic disciplines including astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics and earth, computer and general science. Each team includes four students, one alternate and a teacher or coach. EWU Open House
The EWU College of Science, Mathematics & Technology invites the community to celebrate the opening of the new Health Sciences Building at the Riverpoint Higher Education Park in Spokane. There will be an open house for Eastern's four programs in the building -- Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dental Hygiene and Communication Disorders. The public is invited for tours of the new facility, an opportunity to visit with faculty and staff of these programs, and refreshments. The new building houses the health science programs of both Eastern and WSU.

The open house will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 14, at 310 North Riverpoint Blvd.
