Hogan Winners Get Funding
GamerZunion, a 2004 winner in the Gonzaga University Hogan Entrepreneurial Program business plan competition, reports they have raised $125,000 in angel investment funds. The gamerZunion team has developed proprietary software for use by players of Massive Multiplayer On-line Games (MMOGs), and has two patents pending. According to Nate Brantingham, gamerZunion president and CEO, MMOG players typically pay $50 for a game and an additional $15 per month subscription fees. As many as 25,000 players can be found playing the same MMOG at any given time. GamerZunion's Internet portal will allow players access to multiple games for a single monthly fee. IRS Schedule C for Sole Proprietors -- Free Workshop in the SBA Training Center
Tuesday, June 21. The U.S. Small Business Administration and local tax experts are collaborating to provide a free workshop, "Schedule C for Sole Proprietors" in Spokane SBA's Training Center at 801 West Riverside Avenue, Suite 240 from 12:00 noon to 3:30 pm. The presenter for the free workshop is Connie Goodman, a Certified Public Accountant with Blodgett and Company. This workshop will focus on issues important to sole proprietors such as federal tax responsibilities, business income and expenses, self-employment tax, estimating tax payments, avoiding tax penalties, and record keeping tips. WSU Spokane CityLab Summer Camp June 27-July 1
June 27-July 1, 2005 WSU Spokane CityLab is offering its annual Young Women's Summer Science Camp for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls on the Riverpoint Campus. The theme for this year's camp is "The Secrets of Crime Scene Investigations." Tuition is $135 and includes a T-shirt, a day trip to the WSU Pullman campus, a day trip to the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab, and an afternoon at Wild Walls climbing gym.
