04/15/2005 - NDM Provides Authentication

Network Design & Management (NDM) has embarked on an exciting and ambitious network identity management project. Due to the working agreement, NDM is not allowed to name the client for whom they are developing the technology. NDM is a local provider of IT infrastructure and security services.

NDM has been engaged by a large globally based gaming company in the Redmond area to provide seamless authentication for more than 1,300 employees within four directory silos of information. This project will provide identity synchronization to dramatically increase access and authentication performance. In addition, it will decrease the administration time required to manage the different directories through a single point of administration. Now in the “development/proof of concept” stage, the system will be deployed into the production environment in May, 2005. The projected completion is scheduled for July, 2005. NDM is providing these services through their professional relationship with Dell Professional Services (DPS).

At the same time NDM is assisting the Redmond-based client with on-site out-sourced IT system integration services daily. This service also includes the deployment of Novell Branch Office products that allow remote branch offices to synchronize data with the central office efficiently and quickly. This overcomes the need to have remote IT staff and backups. This service is expected to continue until June 2005.

According to Duston Miller, NDM President, NDM has experienced an increase in Identity Management solutions in enterprise environments. By utilizing Identity Management and consolidation systems, customers can realize increased efficiency and fewer identity errors along with reduced IT staffing.

Dell Professional Services (DPS) helps businesses utilize emerging technology, enhance efficiency, reduce business risk, and minimize return on technology investment. Using their expertise in best practices in technology consulting, application development, solutions integration, and infrastructure design, DPS designs, develops and implements end-to-end technology solutions.
