SISTSA Presents, Fitnesse - Unit and Acceptance Test Applications
Tuesday, March 8, Socializing: 5:30 pm; Presentation: 6:00 pm. Fitnesse will be presented by Curtis Cooley, RADSoft. One of the benefits of a good XP implementation is 0 bug reports from the field once the software has been released. XP teams achieve this by having automated running acceptance tests throughout the project. Fitnesse is a tool that allows the customer to write the automated tests, but running tests through the GUI layer is always a challenge. Enter the Model View Presenter pattern. It lets the fitnesse fixtures become another view into the system, allowing you to test through the GUI even when the GUI may not have even been built yet.

Curtis Cooley is a software engineer and Extreme Programming Consultant at RADSoft in Coeur d'Alene. He has been teaching companies how to be lean by introducing them to XP for the last 4 years.
