INTEC will host a Digital Technology Special Interest Group (SIG) event on Thursday, February 19. The event will be held at the Davenport Hotel beginning at 4:00 p.m. The intent of the SIG series is to highlight companies, research, and educational programs, as well as all of the community initiatives and regional assets in key technology sectors. These sectors, Digital Technology, Energy Technology, and BioSciences, are the sectors that show the greatest opportunity for growth, according to INTEC.

The event will kick off at 4:00 p.m. with a brief overview of our regional digital technology by Bill Kalivas. The overview will include the following list: Terabyte Triangle, wireless downtown Spokane, VPnet, Hoopfest wireless, Intelligent Community Award, venture capital funding, research and educational programs in Digital Technology, and Northwest Coalition for a Safer America.

The keynote address, by Mark Meacham, Partner, Northwest Venture Associates, will cover the industry outlook. Ten minute speeches by Dave Curry, CEO of World Wide Packets (gigabit Ethernet, telecommunications, etc), Donald Edward Stalter, CEO, Vivato (wireless switches), Tom Turner, CEO, Itronix (laptop computing), Fred Brown, CEO, Next IT (artificial intelligence, cyber security, Homeland Security), and Douglas Lemon, manager of Homeland Security Initiatives, PNNL, will follow the keynote address.
