09/30/2003 - Technet Announces Catalyst Awards Nominees

Technet received seventy-seven nominees in three categories for the 2003 Catalyst Awards. The Catalyst Awards acknowledge those who have demonstrated commitment and dedication to the growth of technology and innovation in the greater Inland Northwest. The Catalyst Awards celebrate the regional accomplishments in technology in three categories: Company, Organization, and the Ken Grunzweig Innovator of the Year.

Nominees in the "Company" category are: Advanced Input Devices, Comcast, Contineo Technologies, Cyan, Ednetics, Genesis Fueltech, GenPrime, Inc., Isothermal Systems Research, Itronix, Keytronic, MediaJoe, Network Design and Management, Network Computer Systems, Inc., New Light Industries, OneEighty Networks, Purcell Systems, Ross Printing Co., Scanivalve, Servatron, Synergistic Software, Toolbuilders, Vivato, and XO Communications.

Nominees in the "Organization" category are: AHANA, Business Information Center (BIC), City of Liberty Lake, Delta Angel Group, EFGN, EWU Entrepreneurial Center, Hogan Entrepreneur Leadership Program, Inland NW Health Services (INHS), INTEC, MESA, Pacific NW National Laboratory (PNNL), Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML), Launch Pad, SCORE, and The Inland Northwest Community Access Network (TINCAN).

Nominees in the "Ken Grunzweig Innovator of the Year" category are: Addison Pemberton, Bassem Bejjani, Bill Kalivas, Chuck Allen, Don Herbert, David, Dr. Donald Lightfoot, Dr. Karen Michaelson, Dr. Patrick Tam, Dr. Steve Simmons, Dr. Sylvia Oliver, Francis Cullooyah, Fred Brown, Greg Green, Jack Sjostrom, Jim burke & Dan Stutzke, Jim Simmons, John Stone, Ken Grunzweig (deceased), Kim Pearman-Gillman, Larry Panattoni, LeRoy Nesbaum, Mark Cherry, Michelle Dickman, Paul Buller, Raymond Daigh, Shawn Swanby, Skip Crilly, Steve Hildahl, and Vivato's Ken Biba, Skip Crilly, and Mike Wilson.

The keynote speaker at this year's Catalyst Awards presentation is Jim Dullum, Enterprise Client Executive at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), a leading global information technology (IT) services company. Dullum will discuss technology issues and the airline industry, and how EDS's initiatives impact the Inland Northwest.

Those who submitted a nomination have been entered in a drawing for a trip to Hawaii. The winner must be present to win.

The Catalyst Award Gala will be Thursday, October 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Davenport Hotel's Grand Pennington Ballroom in downtown Spokane. Catalyst Awards ticket prices are $25.00 each for Technet members, $30.00 each for non-members.
